What started as just a dream has turned into a successful business for this husband and wife team. Shawna, a nurse in the Seattle/Tacoma area, has always loved to wear fun and colorful scrubs but thought her plain black clogs needed something more.
After several months of research and development and assembling a fantastic group of talented artists, together, Curtis and Shawna published the first pair of hand-painted clogs to their website and The Swanx was born.
A day or two passed before the first pair was sold, but once word started getting out about this unique new product, it was very clear to them that they were on to something big.
Since the day of the first sale, several branches of this company have been introduced, including a Signature Series of the Month and quarterly awareness designs such as Breast Cancer ribbons and Autism Speaks ribbons.
The future looks bright for this clog clan and success is credited to personal customer service, outstanding artists, and a uniqueness that every woman (and some men) are looking for in their wardrobe.
The Swanx LLC is located near the foothills of Mt. Rainier in Beautiful Western Washington. They are independent distributors of Sanita clogs and have been serving the online community since 2002.
The Swanx owners take great pride in their business and personally oversee each order. With a combined 22 years of customer service, they are always available to assist you and answer your questions.
Currently there are 14 artists that paint for The Swanx and one Art Director that handles all of the custom orders.
All of the clogs go through several steps to get the finished product. High quality professional- grade paints and sealers are used to ensure the best result imaginable. The sealers give the ultimate protection and water resistance for the art work to provide years of enjoyment.
